The Long Miles (#2): Dear Greeny

Hey Greeny,

I wanted to take a moment to reach out and say something I should’ve said a while ago. I know things went too far on my end, and I’m not here to make excuses or spin it any other way. I messed up. Over the last three years in PML, we’ve had a ton of good moments, real conversations, and times where we were actually in each other’s corner. You’ve always been someone I considered a solid friend, someone I could talk to, debate with, joke around with, and just vibe with on and off the league stuff.

Somewhere along the way, though, I pushed the trolling and the jokes past what was funny, and I didn’t realize the impact it was having until it was already too late. I took things too far, and instead of treating the friendship with the respect it deserved, I let the teasing overshadow everything else. That’s on me, no one else.

I hate that I’ve put us in a position where you felt you had to block me just to get space. I get it, and I’m not upset at you for it at all. I’m upset at myself because I genuinely value the friendship we built, and I didn’t handle it the way I should’ve. You’ve been a good dude to me since day one, and I didn’t return that same energy when it counted.

I’m not asking you to instantly forgive me or even to respond right away. I just want you to know that I recognize where I went wrong, and I’m truly sorry for making things uncomfortable, annoying, or disrespectful. You didn’t deserve that, and I should’ve known better.

If down the road you ever feel like giving things another shot, I’d appreciate the chance to earn back that respect and rebuild things the right way - no trolling, no pushing lines, just the same kind of solid conversations and moments that made us boys in the first place. And if not, I still want you to know that I genuinely appreciate the times we did have and the part you played in them.

Either way, I hope things are good with you, and I hope you’re doing well. I’m sorry, Greeny. For real and hope we can one day pick up our friendship again.
